About the FIA Environmental Accreditation Programme
The FIA Environmental Accreditation programme, launched in 2011, helps motorsport and mobility stakeholders worldwide measure and enhance their environmental performance. The programme assesses performance across 17 criteria, including energy use, supply chain management, transport planning, noise management, and carbon emissions. To ensure impartiality, the accreditation audits are conducted by an independent, qualified auditor.
FIA is committed to a low carbon future, aiming to reach Net Zero by 2030, with an intermediate goal of using 100% sustainable ‘drop-in’ fuel by 2026 for Formula 1 cars.
