March 26 2026 – Carless Classic Fuels has been appointed the sole fuel supplier to the Historic Racing Drivers Club (HRDC) for the 2026–2028 seasons. The agreement covers all HRDC events, with trackside refuelling provided by Vital Equipment UK. The arrangement aims to give competitors consistent fuel quality and a professional, compliant and safe service across race weekends.

The HRDC is one of the UK’s leading organisers of historic motorsport and runs a wide range of classic categories, where fuel specification is a key consideration. The partnership with Carless Classic Fuels secures consistent, ethanolfree and heritagecompatible fuels for all participating vehicles.

Carless Classic Fuels is a brand of Haltermann Carless, a company with a long history of innovation dating back to the invention of Petrol in the late 19th century. Its performance-oriented formulations are engineered for stability, material compatibility and long-term protection, making them suitable for a wide range of historic and heritage vehicles.

Adrian Stuart, Head of Performance Fuels Sales at Haltermann Carless, said:
“We are delighted to be appointed as the sole fuel supplier to the Historic Racing Drivers Club for the 2026 to 2028 seasons. Having launched Carless Classic Fuels just 13 months ago, it is hugely rewarding to see how quickly the range has progressed and earned the trust of the historic motorsport community. Partnering with the HRDC is a fantastic example of that momentum in action. Our fuels are developed specifically for historic vehicles, giving competitors the confidence of consistent performance while protecting valuable engines and preserving authentic driving experiences. We look forward to working closely with the HRDC to support competitors across all events
.

Julius Thurgood, Race Director, HRDC, said:
“In recent years, the ongoing development of race engines and the quest for cleaner power has witnessed a proliferation of specialist race fuels coming into the historic marketplace, especially those being marketed as sustainable. What was not so evident was the knowledge of how to properly apply this technology to a diverse range of engine specifications. Compatibility, ratings and correct procedure seemed to be turning into a minefield which has caught out many competitors to their cost. Working with Carless Classic Fuels and having Vital Equipment’s vast on-track knowledge at hand, has eliminated such uncertainties with a clear and concise working practice. The HRDC now has partners that can deliver an optimum product range with an informed and reliable service that affords our competitors the freedom to enjoy their racing.”

Phil Roberts, Operations Manager, Vital Equipment UK, adds:
In the paddock, competitors need fuel that is quick, consistent and easy to access. We are proud to support HRDC and Carless Classic Fuels as the official refuelling provider, delivering a safe and reliable service that organisers can depend on and letting teams focus on racing.”

This partnership reinforces a shared commitment to maintaining the integrity and sustainability of historic motorsport. By combining proven fuel technology with experienced trackside delivery, Carless Classic Fuels and its partners will support competitors with products and services tailored to the unique demands of historic racing, both now and into the future.
